Adding a New User

You have a new user that you would like to your service so that they can send and receive email and have space to create their own personal webpage.  Here are the steps you must take.

What you will need

First, you must have administrator privileges.  If you are the owner of this website then you should already have this.

Second, you will need to have a list of users that you want to add.  For each user you should know the username and password that they want to use.  You should also decide which users should be given administrator privileges and any aliases each user wants.  You should also know if any users will have their own personal website.

Here are the steps you take:

Step 1 - Log in to your administrator's account.

Open your browser and go to http://www.mysnewsite.com/siteadmin

Step 2 - Add a new user.

Step 2A - Click the "Add User" button.

Step 2B - Enter the new user's full name, username and password (twice).

Step 2C - Enter the maximum allowed disk space.  Remember, you have a limited amount of disk space for your site overall and the amount of user space adds to the overall amount of space used by your website.  We recommend that you set this value to 30 if you don't plan to have a separate website for this user.  If you plan on this user having their own personal website then set this value to 45.

Step 2D - Check the 'Site Administrator' checkbox if you want to give this user administrator privileges.

Step 2E - Check the 'Enable FrontPage User Web' checkbox if you want this user to have their own website and they will access this website using FrontPage.  If you check this then be sure to increase the the maximum allowed disk space to 45.

Step 2F - Enter each alias that you want to define for this user.  Each alias is separated by a space.

Step 2G - Click "Confirm New User" button.

That's it.  Repeat these steps for each additional user that you want to add.  If you'd like to forward emails of a user to another email address then follow the steps at Forwarding Email.
